Tandoori Chicken Skewers
Tandoori chicken skewers are a delicious and flavorful dish that originates from the Indian subcontinent. Here's a recipe for Tandoori chicken skewers:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes before using)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, making sure that each cube is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
- Thread the chicken cubes onto skewers.
- Grill the chicken skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
