Classic Grilled Steak

Grilling steak is a simple and delicious way to prepare one of the most popular meats. Here's a recipe for grilling steak:


  • 2 8-ounce strip steak
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


  1. Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Brush the steaks with olive oil to prevent them from sticking to the grill.
  4. Place the steaks on the SHIFU grill, and cook for about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness.
  5. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness, the internal temperature should reach 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium, and 160°F for well done.
  6. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

For added flavor, you can also marinate the steaks in a mixture of oil, acid and spices before grilling.
